Latch Key

Our Latch Key is a fun and exciting place for children kindergarten through grade 6 and is designed so students do not have to leave the building after school in order to receive child care.  Participants can enjoy outdoor activities with access to playground equipment and indoor time includes crafts, games and activities.  Students will receive a snack and milk each day.  A registration packet can be picked at the Elementary School Office.   If you have questions, please call Community Education at 334-3181, Option 3.

The Child Care Assistance Program CAN HELP qualifying families pay for child care while they go to work, look for work, or attend school.  This program assists with child care costs for children through age 12.  Family size, family income, and participation in authorized activities are considered.  Please call 1-877-773-5778 or  visit for more information.  Lakes and Prairies is the servicing agency for Becker and Otter Tail Counties.   We also work with White Earth Nation.
