Hive

The Hive (must be 3 years old by Sept. 1)
     This class is for preschoolers who are 3 years of age and are toilet trained. We are excited to share with families in the Frazee-Vergas School District options for the 2026-27 school year.  Once the classes are filled, families have the option to add their child to the “waitlist” and we will contact you should there be an opening or the district adds another preschool class.   Kimberly Antonsen is The Hive preschool teacher.   Miss Kimberly is passionate about preschoolers and has been a preschool teacher for over 25 years!     Please note if your child is 4 years of age before September 1, they will need to attend the Hornet Academy class. At this time you are not being charged any fees for registering and it will show a zero balance for registration purposes only.     Parents will have several options for making payments.   Watch for open house and back-to-school paperwork to come out in August when the district sends out all K-12 paperwork.    Families who live outside the Frazee-Vergas school district are welcome to register; however, notification of acceptance will not be provided until August.

Annual/Monthly Tuition Rates:

  • FULL RATE:  2 half days a week (59 school days a year): $875 annual / $98 monthly
  • REDUCED/FREE RATE:  PATHWAYS Grant*   (application will be mailed out in August) 

*If you meet the qualifications through the PATHWAYS grant, you may qualify for free tuition.  An application for this grant is required.  If you have any questions on this grant or eligibility, please contact Kimberly Antonsen, ECFE/School Readiness Coordinator at Ext. 4103. 

Census - Your Child & Family Counts!

Is your child on the school census?  If you have recently moved into our district or had an addition to the family (such as birth or adoption), please complete the census form.  This will ensure you receive information on Preschool Health Screening, Early Childhood Family Education and School Readiness programs, Kindergarten Roundup/Registration, etc.   The school census will be used only for school business and will be handled in a confidential manner.   By completing the census form you are also helping our district determine funding for preschool classes.  A separate form is needed for each child and please only include children ages infants through 6 who are not yet enrolled in elementary school.  If you have any questions, please email Kitti Kivi-Lex at kkivi-lex@frazee.k12.mn.us or (218) 334-3181, Ext. 5343.
