Concussion Protocol: Located below is the Minnesota High School League Concussion protocol. If your child sustains a concussion, they will sit for a minimum of one week and will do a graduated return to play protocol under my supervision. The steps that they will have to pass to move on to the next day are all listed. There is also some general concussion info linked below as well. I also utilize the software ImPACT for my concussion diagnostics. A new baseline test is taken every 2 years for contact sport athletes. If a concussion is sustained, another test will be administered and compared to their baseline results. ImPACT is a tool used to gage cognitive function. If you would like to read more about the ImPACT software, a link is included below. Each parent needs to sign a consent form for the ImPACT testing. That form is handed out with pre season paperwork.

Sports Physicals: Your child needs a sports physical every 3 years, typically entering 7th and 10th grade. A physical must be on file at the school prior to the first practice. Located below is a link to the MSHSL sports physical form.

Wrestling Skin Conditions: If your child acquires a skin rash of any kind during the wrestling season, a MSHSL wrestling skin form must be taken to a physician for their evaluation and signature. A link for the form is listed below.
